Terms of use

1. The service

Cortfy is a web app that turns long videos into vertical 9:16 clips with captions, an on-screen hook and silence removal. You upload the video (a file or, on some plans, a YouTube link), pick the style and download the clips.

The service is provided by [company name and registration number], a company based in Brazil.

2. Your account

You must be 18 or older (or have a legal guardian's permission) and give a valid e-mail. Your account is personal: keep your password safe and tell us if you suspect misuse.

We may suspend accounts used for fraud, abuse of the free tools or breach of these terms, stating the reason whenever the law allows.

3. Credits, plans and payment

1 credit equals 1 minute of video analysed, rounded up. B-roll images and dubbing have their own credit cost, shown before you confirm. Plan prices are on the pricing page.

Before processing a video we reserve the credits it needs; at the end we charge what was used and return the rest. If processing fails or is cancelled while still in the queue, every credit comes back.

A new account gets 30 credits once. On the free plan, clips carry a watermark.

Paid plans are monthly subscriptions charged in US dollars to your card through a payment processor. They renew automatically until you cancel.

You can cancel anytime from the billing portal, without talking to anyone. After cancelling, the account goes back to the free plan; leftover credits stay in your balance.

4. Your content

The videos you upload and the clips made from them remain yours. You allow us to store and process that content — including with the processors listed in the Privacy Policy — only to provide the service.

You confirm you have the right to use every video you upload: because it is yours, because the owner authorised you, or under a licence that allows it. Clipping and reposting other people's videos without permission may infringe copyright; the uploader is responsible for that.

Illegal content, content that infringes third-party rights, involves the exploitation of minors or incites violence or hatred is forbidden. We may remove it and close the account.

5. Automatically generated results

Moment selection, transcription, captions, the hook, B-roll images and dubbing are produced by automated systems and can contain mistakes. Review each clip before posting; the editor lets you fix words, text and style.

The potential score is an estimate, not a promise of results on social networks.

6. How long we keep files

Uploaded videos, transcripts and clips are available for 30 days on every plan and then deleted. Download what you want to keep. Details in the Privacy Policy.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service running, but there may be maintenance pauses or third-party failures (for example, YouTube blocking downloads from servers). We may change features and prices; price changes apply from the next billing cycle and are announced in advance.

When these terms change in a meaningful way, we will tell you by e-mail or on the site.

8. Liability

We are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits or how clips perform on social networks. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer protection law gives you.

9. Closing your account

You can delete your account anytime on the Account page. When you do, we delete your videos, clips and profile data as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live.
