Cortfy is a web app that turns long videos — podcasts, live streams and interviews — into vertical 9:16 clips with word-by-word captions, an on-screen hook and silence removal. You upload the video, pick a style and download the clips, each with a title and ready-made copy for TikTok and Instagram. It costs 1 credit per minute of video analysed.

You can try it without paying and without a card: new accounts get 30 credits, once. On the free plan clips carry a watermark, videos can be up to 30 minutes, you upload a file (YouTube links are on Pro and Studio), and there are no B-roll images or dubbing. The free tools on the site need no sign-up at all.

1 credit = 1 minute of video analysed, rounded up: a 60-minute episode uses 60 credits. B-roll images cost 1 credit per generated image, and dubbing costs 15 credits per minute of clip. Re-running the same video with a different style costs only a fraction, because the transcript is reused. Editing a finished clip is free.

Yes. Before you confirm, the screen shows the credits for the minutes and the most the B-roll images could use. We reserve that amount, charge only for what was actually generated and return the rest. If processing fails, or you cancel while it’s still queued, every credit comes back. If your balance can’t cover the whole video, we offer to clip just the first minutes.

It depends on the video’s length and the queue, so we don’t promise a number. You can follow each step on screen — analysing the audio, picking the moments, building the clips — and every clip shows up as soon as it’s ready. You can close the tab: processing keeps going and we email you when it’s done.

Yes, on Pro and Studio: paste the link and we fetch the video. On every plan, including free, you can upload the file, up to 5 GB. YouTube sometimes blocks downloads made from servers; when that happens we tell you right away, and uploading the file is the way around it. Only use videos you have the right to use.

The spoken language is detected automatically, and the captions, hook, title and copy come out in the same language as the video. The site and dashboard are available in English, Portuguese and Spanish. To publish in another language, dubbing creates a version of the clip in one of 16 languages, with captions and hook in that language.

Yes, and editing is free. In the editor you can shorten a clip or extend it by up to 30 seconds on each side while the original video is still stored, fix caption words, rewrite the hook, change the style, and keep, redo or remove the B-roll images. Each clip allows up to 30 edits; only new B-roll images use credits.

It happens, especially with names, slang and people talking over each other. In the editor you fix the word and the clip is rebuilt with the right caption, at no cost. You can also change how the captions look: style, size, text colour, active-word colour, position and all caps.

They’re images generated from what’s being said, one to three per clip, shown above the video or over it, in photo, cinematic or illustration style. They’re included on Pro and Studio and cost 1 credit per generated image; any reserved credit that isn’t used comes back. If you’d rather not, switch them off and pay for minutes only.

On Pro and Studio, pick a finished clip and one of 16 languages. We create a new version with audio dubbed by ElevenLabs, captions in the new language, a translated hook and the same style and images as the original. It costs 15 credits per started minute of clip, refunded if it fails. The dubbed version can be edited like any other clip.

For 30 days, on every plan, free included. During that time your uploaded video and clips are available to watch, edit and download; after that they’re deleted, so download anything you want to keep. You can also delete your account whenever you like, and we remove your videos, clips and data.

Not yet. You download each clip as a vertical MP4 and copy the title and the ready-made copy for TikTok and Instagram. We also don’t clip during a live broadcast or import from Twitch or Kick: the live stream comes in afterwards as a recording, by file upload or by YouTube link on Pro and Studio.

Yes. You cancel from the billing portal without talking to anyone, and your account goes back to the free plan. Credits you haven’t used stay in your balance, and your clips remain available until they reach 30 days. Clips made on the free plan keep their watermark; to remove it, run the video again on a paid plan.

Only if you have the right to use the content — because it’s yours, because the owner gave you permission, or because a licence allows it. Clipping and reposting someone else’s video without permission can get it taken down and cause copyright trouble. Cortfy is built to multiply your own content or your clients’.
